Have you ever had that eye sore (Links Folder) that just wouldn't delete from your favorites list in IE browser?
Or maybe, you delete it and it comes back the next time your computer turns on?

Well we have a solution, TADA!

This involves editing your registry, back it up first.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click on Start Button > Run > Type: "regedit"
  2. Go to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
  3. Once there, check out a stringvalue called "LinksFolderName". Simply doubleclick it and delete the value data.
  4. Next, go over to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
  5. Once there, rightclick and create a DWORD Value and name it "NoSaveSettings".

That's It! You're Done! Well you can do all that or simply download the linksremove.reg file and run it. Once again, make sure your registry is backed up before trying any of this funny business.
